What is The Rounds?
The Rounds is a low-waste grocery delivery service. We're in your neighborhood every week making “the rounds”, to ensure your home is always stocked with with boring daily essentials like TP and hand soap, as well as the groceries you need and your favorites from local partners. It's like hiring a friendly neighbor to handle your shopping!
What does low-waste mean?
Low-waste means that we are committed to reducing your waste at home. No more boxes inside boxes! Instead, we deliver your orders in a green bag with reusable, recyclable or compostable containers. When you're done with your items, leave your empties on your doorstep, and we'll pickup your empty containers as we drop off your weekly refill -- like the modern day milkman.
Please note that currently some items cannot yet be delivered in reusable containers for health and safety reasons. We work every day to find more creative solutions that reduce packaging waste! We believe in progress, not perfection and appreciate that you're on this journey with us!
How does The Rounds compare with other delivery services?
Other delivery services bring your products in plastic wrapped in cardboard wrapped in plastic, surprise you with stacked service fees and tips, or clog up the streets by rushing back and forth to make next-day deliveries. Not us! Your products from The Rounds will come in reusable containers packed in a tote. You'll only pay a flat membership fee of $10 per month for delivery and empties pickup up to once a week. And you and all your neighbors will get refilled on the same day of the week from a Rounder on an e-bike or in an e-van. All of this means that delivery from The Rounds is more sustainable and more affordable than the alternative!
Products
What products and brands do you sell?
We carry household essentials such as Laundry Pods by Dropps, coffee and baked goods from our local partners, fresh produce from nearby farms, upcycled dog toys by Rerope, and so much more! We are frequently adding new products into our lineup and welcome any suggestions you have in mind!
How are they sourced?
We partner directly with wholesalers, manufacturers and local businesses to get you the highest quality, sustainable staples. We do the work of curating the highest-quality, sustainable products — we're talking thoughtfully designed, better made, longer lasting, ethically sourced, and eco-friendly. What is Reverse Logistics?
Our members place their empty containers outside their doors, and we pick them up, reversing the direction of conventional one-way shipping channels. Almost all consumer products today move along distribution and fulfillment channels resembling straight lines. Retailers and delivery services ship to consumers, who then dispose of the product and its packaging. The Rounds is turning those straight lines into “closed-loop” circles through the use of reusable containers. Reverse Logistics is the process of closing the loop.
What do I do with my containers?
On your Refill Day, leave any empty containers outside your door. We'll retrieve them when we drop off your new delivery, and bring them back to our facility for sorting, sanitizing, and refilling.
Which containers are refillable?
Please return any The Rounds-branded or unbranded containers, jars, or bottles, as well as all tote bags, insulated produce bags, and ice bags. When we pick them up, they'll be washed and sanitized before being refilled and sent back out for your next Refill Day.
Do I need to clean my jars before I return them?
Nope! We have all jars professionally washed and sanitized between each use. Don't worry about washing anything out after you finish your products - we'll handle it!
What do I do with original packaging?
We work to ensure that any products we are not able to provide in reusable packaging are still sold in recyclable or compostable packaging whenever possible. Please dispose of these products through your usual means. If you'd prefer, The Rounds also offers Recycling Pickup and Composting services!
Refills & Autopilot
What is Autopilot?
The Rounds is designed to manage your home essentials so you don't have to sweat the boring stuff! You can set any product to come on a certain frequency in your autopilot. If you're getting too much or too little of something, just adjust it!
What does it mean to add a product to autopilot?
Any product you add with a recurring frequency will be added to your autopilot. That means it will automatically be added to your delivery with the frequency you've set. If you'd like to make any changes, you can always do so on your autopilot, or by reaching out to our Member Success team at (855) 674-1999 or support@therounds.co!
How can I remove a product from my delivery?
You can remove a product from your upcoming delivery by clicking on the green bag icon in the upper right corner of your screen. If the product is on a set frequency in your autopilot, you can adjust your settings to receive it less often or remove it altogether.
Where do I manage my Refills?
Head into your dashboard to Your Refills! This is the best place to see what's coming in your Refill this week (“Now”). Here, you can make any changes to your upcoming order. Love planning? You can plan up to two weeks ahead! Please make sure all changes are made before your order locks each week at 11am two days prior to your Refill Day.
How can I place a one-time order?
You can choose to receive any product one time. If you're picking a new product, you can select “one time” from the drop-down on the product card or detail page. That item will be delivered in your next Refill. If you'd like to change a product from a recurring frequency to one time, you can always adjust the frequency of any product and the date you'd like to receive it next in your autopilot.
Where can I learn more information about my upcoming Refill?
To see your Refill Day and the full list of products scheduled for your next refill, please click the green bag at the top right corner of your screen, or visit your refills page.
Can I skip Refills?
Absolutely! You can skip your refills by clicking on the green bag icon in the top right corner of your page. When the Refill window pops open, choose the ellipses and select “skip this refill.” If you'd like to stop receiving refills for an extended period of time, you can also pause your subscription on the Account Info page. This will stop your refills, and will also prevent you from being charged any membership fees during the time you are paused.
Something seems off about my Refill. What should I do?

Delivery
How does delivery work?
Our Rounders deliver orders, mostly on e-bikes from a local Neighborhood Refillment Center (NRC). We choose the most efficient routes when making the rounds weekly to your door.
Can I change my delivery day?
We work hard to make our service as efficient as possible. In many neighborhoods this means you can choose a Refill day that works best for you, and stay confident that your delivery is as green as possible. In other neighborhoods, we have assigned a fixed Refill day for you and your neighbors so you all get them on the same day. We're rapidly working to expand flexibility in how you choose your Refill days and will reach out to you with exciting news when this is available.
Where can I update my address or delivery instructions?
You can make any changes needed to your address or your delivery instructions on the Account Info page of your dashboard! If you are unsure whether we serve your new zip code, you're welcome to contact our Member Support team by texting (855) 674-1999 or emailing support@therounds.co.
Can I choose my delivery time window?
We don't currently have delivery windows, but we'll text you when we're on our way and again when we've dropped off!
Do I have to be at home to get my refill?
Nope! If you would like to add refill notes to ensure your bundle is left safely, you can do so on your account settings! Please note an exception - if you order an item that contains alcohol, you will need to be home to receive the delivery so that our Rounder can do an ID check.
Compost & Recycling Services
What services does The Rounds offer?
In addition to our product assortment, The Rounds also offers composting, recycling pickup for hard-to-recycle items including e-waste, donations pickup for unwanted clothing or household items, and CO2 cartridge refills for soda machines!
Can I get only The Rounds' services?
Yes! Recycling, donation pickup, and CO2 canister refill services can be scheduled and charged on a week-to-week basis. With a membership you can add any of these, and any other products, to any Refill you like!
How can I skip my Compost Service?
Click into the refill week you'd like to skip for and toggle the switch to turn off compost pickup. You can always choose to skip your delivery and that will auto-skip compost as well!
Membership & Payments
What do members of The Rounds get?
Membership costs only $10 a month (no hidden fees!) and includes access to hundreds of local products and partners, sustainable and low-waste delivery of refills and pickup of empties, up to once a week!
Is there an order minimum?
Yes! For delivery, your Refill must be over our $25 order minimum. Your monthly membership fee allows us to employ full-time Rounders, provide quality benefits, and avoid extraneous fees. An order minimum ensures we're maximizing the capacity of our packaging and transportation, reducing wasted food, and making our planned delivery routes as efficient as possible.
If your Refill is below the $25 minimum, we'll let you know so you can make updates before your lock time. You can always skip a delivery, or combine your items into a larger delivery.
Please note: the order minimum does not apply if you pay for our composting pickup service.
How can I pause or cancel my Membership?
You can pause your membership at any time on the Account Info tab of your dashboard. You'll be asked what date you'd like your membership to resume, but this can always be edited later. While you're paused, you will not receive any refills and will not be charged any membership fees.

Billing & Promotions
How can I find out how much my Refills will be?
The price of your Refill will be shown on each refill page. You can click on the downward caret to view a breakdown of your invoice details including any applied credits or promotions.
When is my card charged?
You'll be charged a flat membership fee each month, plus the cost of the items in your Refill each week. Each charge for your Refill will be processed two days before your Refill Day at 11am.
Where can I see my billing history?
Billing history is shown on the Account Info tab under “Payment Methods & Billing History.” From there, you can review or download copies of your invoice for each refill.
Where can I see credits or promotions on my account?
Any promotions applied to your account will be shown on your Account Info tab under “Promotions”. You have the option to enter a promo code there as well! Your current promotion and credit balance will also be shown in a blue banner at the top of your dashboard.
Can I have multiple promotions on my account?
Only one promotion can be used at a time. Each new promotion applied to your account will cancel out any prior promotions. While you may apply multiple promotions sequentially, take care to make sure your old promo has ended or the new promotion is of greater value to ensure you don't lose out!
Why did I get charged for an unreturned cooler bag?
We keep your perishables fresh and our service sustainable by delivering them in reusable cooler bags. These cost more and take more raw materials to create than a single use liner, so they are only more sustainable if we get them back!
In order to ensure we can continue to reduce waste in our system, there is a $15 late fee for bags that are not returned four weeks after delivery.
Remember, as long as the cooler bag is returned, it's totally free to use!
